There is this feast in Scandinavia (and some other places) on december the 13. where the return of light is celebrated and young beautiful maidens in white skirts enter the rooms carrying candles and singing songs with gentle voices.
I thought that geese with their white feathers did fit quite well in to this picture... apart from the voices. I haven't any of my usual painting stuff at hand, so I had to improvise heavily, which some my regard as a challenge. I found it simply annoying... Some black pen, gel pen and coloured pencils |
