Apologies for my long absence. I was extremely busy with my day job this year, which is good news, since it not only is great fun but also provides me with the necessary funds to be able to indulge in the less profitable pursuit of putting pen and brush to paper.
I hope that I'll have a little more time to be creative, or at least draw and paint, in the next few weeks.

Best wishes and Happy Holidays,
Luisa

I finished my studies In the UK and am now back on the European mainland, which is a more sobering experience than I would have thought.
However, in the coming weeks I should have more time to produce what, with a little leniency, might be considered art.

Some of my pictures will appear in a new online art journal next monday: www.bombommer.nl
Unfortunately the journal is Dutch and thus only informative, interesting and well written for about 0,24 percent of the world's population. But since some of the text is in English and art is a language of its own altogether, it might be interesting for the remaining 99,76 percent anyway.
The latest edition has some illustrations by Mattias Adolfsson (mattiasa.deviantart.com/)

Best wishes,
Luisa

This is just to inform everyone that I'll spent the next year in York (UK), doing my MA in early modern history, which most likely will leave me with very few, if any, time to do art. So, unfortunately there won't be much new in the foreseable future.
For those with a more than basic knowledge of the german language: I have postet some of my writing which can be read here www.triboox.de/autoren/?aid=Iw…

My very best wishes,
Luisa

I just found out about the Tim Burton exhibition at the MoMA www.moma.org/visit/calendar/ex…, which made me very happy. Then I realised that my chances of getting to New York between November and April a very slight, if not non-existent. So I stopped being happy and started thinking that Mr. Burtons style lacks refinement. This worked well until I realised, that I had inadvertently brought some of it's elements into my own paintings. It's a little disapponting how easily I am influenced.

Best wishes,
Luisa

I'm almost done with my bachelor's degree (Archaeology and Art History), which hopefully over the next few weeks will enable me to devote some more time to my artistic ambitions.
BTW if anyone knows someone who could offer me a payed occupation in York (GB) from next january, I'd  be most grateful:D. If not, just enjoy the gallery.

Best wishes,
Luisa :)

I have enabled prints for some pictures, mainly those that got requests, since right now I haven't the time and means to do them myself. I know nothing about the quality of the prints offered by deviantart, so if you order one and it doesn't meet your expectations, please don't complain to me. Thank you.

My very best wishes,
Luisa

I got a minor paper problem: The store I usually buy my paper at received a faulty delivery (the paper dissolves when it comes in touch with water, which is kinda unhandy when you want to paint with watercoloures) so I orderd paper online. The local supply is far from artist friendly. Anyway, there will be new art as soon as I got something else than cheep printer paper to put it on to...

Just to get rid of the sadly outdated 'merry christams' on my journal:)
Not much new to tell otherwise. I'm back to college in northern Bavaria, which in MY opinion (and in the opinion of most bavarians) is NOT and never will be really german, which is funny, becaus most foreigners seem to think that Bavaria is the epitome of Germanness :D

I'll be home over the holidays and hopefully, between all the celebrating and eating and whatever the season calls for, find the time to submit some new artwork.

I went to Venice and did what I always wanted to do: I bought a mask for a ridiculously high amount of money (maybe not that ridiculous after all, bearing in mind the hardship of earning a living by selling artwork without beeing Damian Hirst ...)

A new term has started, so there won't be a frightfully lot of new artwork in the comming months. Not that there has been a lot in the last months... I have done some new pictures for this community.livejournal.com/the_… project though, which sounds nice and will hopefully be a success.

Best wishes

I haven't done any proper art for it seems like ages. I'd never thougt that studying could be that time consuming. I'd rather hoped it would be something I could do in passing, while looking for something more exciting:D
